Privacy Policy
How Architronics collects, uses, and protects the information you share with us — including the business information disclosed through the AI Maturity Index.
LAST UPDATED · 30 JUNE 2026
Architronics (Pty) Ltd ("Architronics", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and applicable international standards. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
Architronics is an AI transformation partner registered in South Africa, with its principal place of business at 41 on Sloane, 41 Sloane Street, Bryanston, Johannesburg. We are the responsible party (data controller) for the personal information collected through this website.
Information Officer: info@architronics.co.za.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and improve our service:
- Contact details — name, organisation, work email and the message you submit through forms on this site.
- AI Maturity Index responses — your answers to the assessment questions, the resulting scores, the band assigned, and the email address you supply to receive the report.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device, referring page, and aggregated usage analytics where you have consented to analytics cookies.
We do not knowingly collect special personal information (e.g. health, biometric, or children's data) through this website. Please do not submit such information through our forms.
3. Information you disclose about your business
The AI Maturity Index and our enquiry forms invite you to describe your organisation and its operating context. You should not submit confidential, regulated, or competitively sensitive business information through these forms. Provide only the level of detail you are comfortable sharing in a pre-engagement context.
Any information you do submit through the assessment or enquiry forms will be treated as confidential by Architronics, used solely to (a) generate your maturity report, (b) prepare for a possible engagement, and (c) improve the benchmark dataset in anonymised, aggregated form that cannot be traced to you or your organisation.
We will not sell, lease, license, or share identifiable assessment responses with third parties for marketing. If a future engagement requires deeper disclosure, that exchange will be governed by a signed mutual non-disclosure agreement.
4. Why we process your information (lawful basis)
- Consent — you actively submit a form or opt into analytics cookies.
- Performance of a contract — to respond to your enquiry or deliver a service you have requested (e.g. your maturity report).
- Legitimate interest — to operate, secure, and improve this website, and to maintain anonymised benchmark statistics.
- Legal obligation — to comply with POPIA, tax, and other applicable law.
5. How we store and protect your information
Personal information collected through this site is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with row-level access controls, encryption in transit, and encryption at rest. Access is restricted to Architronics personnel on a need-to-know basis, governed by our internal information-security policy aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 control objectives.
We retain enquiry and assessment records for as long as the business relationship is reasonably ongoing, and thereafter for a maximum of seven years to meet legal and tax record-keeping obligations, after which records are securely deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
6. Sharing with third parties
We share personal information only with operators (processors) who help us run the service — for example, our hosting, database, and transactional email providers. These operators are bound by written agreements and may process your information only on our instructions and to the extent necessary.
We may disclose information where required by law, a court order, or a lawful regulatory request, or where necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety.
7. Cross-border transfers
Some of our operators host data outside South Africa. Where this is the case, we rely on POPIA section 72 protections — including provider commitments that uphold a level of protection substantially similar to POPIA, or your explicit consent.
8. Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to:
- request access to the personal information we hold about you;
- request correction or deletion of inaccurate or unnecessary information;
- object to processing or withdraw consent at any time;
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
To exercise any of these rights, email info@architronics.co.za. We will respond within the timeframes set by POPIA.
9. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for the categories we use and how to change your choices.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, brought to your attention on the site.
11. Contact
Questions or requests relating to this policy or your personal information should be sent to info@architronics.co.za or by post to 41 on Sloane, 41 Sloane Street, Bryanston, Johannesburg.
